For years the building known as Xavier's Institute for the Gifted has been nothing more than rubble. Abandoned by the last of the X-Men's noble founding members after it was destroyed for about the eighteenth time. Too many lives were lost defending it, too much time, money, and effort was put into keeping it around. They had finally given up all those years ago. In the process they had cut off the dreams of one very important mutant child.
Recently that mutant has used his powers to establish a very successful corporation that has gotten him millions of dollars a day. This man, though successful in life, has lived with an ominous emptiness inside of him. Just months ago he took all his money and abandoned his businesses.
Nobody has heard of him since...until today. He announced globally that he was a mutant and was recreating a new institute to help others with the fateful x-gene. The building was named X-Academy and would be on the same location as Xavier's. He also admitted to running the entire school referring to himself as the head master, funding everything with his own money. He had all ready hired a few experienced mutants to help teach these teenagers not only how to control their powers, but all the other typical high school courses as well.
The school is now open, accepting almost any and all of the youthful mutants seeking help with their abilities. The academy is fully stocked with dormitories, fully equipped classrooms, an indoor pool, a baseball diamond, as well as tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts. He even discovered a way to recreate Cerebra and a better version of the Danger Room. And for all the reckless and accident-prone teens there's a fully stocked infirmary.
It's all the fun of teenage drama, just with super powers.
