The sound of a light pop heralded the arrival of one Scarlett McKenzie, as she landed herself in the middle of Central Park in the dead of night. No one was around and that was how she liked it. Tension was boiling up at the Brotherhood Camp and she didn't want to be there anymore. She was seriously considering cutting her ties and going off on her own again. Scarlett was used to being alone, it had come hand in hand with her everyday life. She by nature pushed people away, every moment of her existence. Her brother had been the only one to care about when she was growing up, and even he was taken away from her. That was why she was so happy to have found Tyler.
Setting off on her walk she was going for about ten minutes before she suddenly saw a flash in front of her eyes and the scene where her brother died flashed before her eyes. Her mind replaying it again and again like some kind of slideshow. Falling to her knees and grabbing her head she thought to teleport away, but whoever posessed this ability was worth meeting. One interesting ability they clearly had with them.

Georgina liked to come here when it was quiet. She liked to be away from the mad world and simply relax. That was what she did best. Getting away from the hussle and bussle of life was exciting, calm. She had been a newyorker all her life and so central park was almost like a second home to her. She started to skip lightly. Skipping along the path, letting the wind blow against her face, and listening to the thoughts of people as they went by. People who worried about leaving the cooker on, or the bedroom light. People who worried about their bosses and whetever they were going to be able to get out of this meeting they had to go too. Recall smiled. Thankfully she didn't have to worry about any of that junk.
Then she saw her. The petite brunette who seemed to appear from nowhere. A mutant. No, mutants and Georgina did not mix well, and whenever she saw one all the guards she had carefully placed lifted up. Nervousness shook through her bones, and her power surged from her body finding it's victim and forcing their worst memory to replay over and over in their head. Georgie watched as the images of this girl's brothers death flashed before her eyes. She was still. Couldn't move. Watching, just watching as the horror unwound in front of her. A tear slid down her face. This woman had faced so much hardship that she found herself wanting to stay, to make sure she was alright, instead of leaving. But what would the mutant say? Georgie was scared enough of them as it was she didn't need the girl reinforcing that. Silently the girl cursed her power as she regularrly did and sent out apoligises to the other mutant. Apoligies which would enter her mind and sound like thoughts to the other mutant. She waited. If she seemed angry after that she would run, but the curious side of Georgie wanted to wait. Just to see what would happen next.

All of Fatale's life had been an uphill struggle against what felt like the heaviest weight in the world. Her parents had been too wrapped up in their own problems to barely realise they had a daughter. It was her sibling that was always there. Even when she'd been hurt terribly in ways a man would usually have run away from he was there, holding her hand and letting her cry on his shoulder. Then he was gone. They'd called the death murder, but the murderer was never caught so she hadn't even got the justice she had wanted for what had happened. She'd tried to find them herself to invoke her own revenge but the murderer truly did vanish without a trace.
That was the first time she had truly used her ability for harm. She'd burst and the next thing anyone knew a surge of light had gone flying from her like a bomb. Everyone within ten feet had been blasted off their feet and she'd left a little dent in the cement under her feet. Thankfully ever since then she'd never gotten so angry she hurt anyone else again with her ability. She carried a poison blade for that. If she was threatened Fatale was a trained assasin, she didn't care if she killed. But she only attacked when threatened, by soul she didn't want to hurt people anymore.
When her thoughts registered to Scarlett's mind she fought to not go down to the misery threatening to engulf her, instead she answered within her head so that she didn't have to speak, for fear she might cry. It's ok. But can you stop it please? The tone was polite as she struggled for control over her own emotions, hoping the images would stop soon. The image was of a dead body in an alleyway, a bullet hole in his chest and a young girl of about 14 kneeling next to him, shaking him, pleading with him to get up and please be joking around. Then the tears came. The little girl grabbed at the body and tried to physically drag it back to her, but still it remained still. The feeling of loneliness that spread through her as the memory replayed was enough to cripple her. It had to end soon or she'd go mad.

Georgie was getting good at controlling her powers, the powers she could understand, the powers she knew, had worked out. Mind reading was the side of her talents that had come first, back when she hadn't known very much about mutants at all. Back when she just figured it was something everyone could do. Mutant or not. Then, one day, she got scared when a mutant appeared at her door, telling her that it was ok, that there was a school she could attend to learnt to control her powers. Georgina had been shocked. How dare they tell her she was different. That she was not like other kids, that she would have to go with him, away from her parents, from her friends. That was the day her power first multiplied. She pulled out the man's deepest darkest memories, and replayed them, over and over til he begged her to stop, but she couldn't. Instead she just ran, ran as fast as she could. It was ironic, because she lost all the things she had wanted to keep that day. From that day forward Georgina Stewart was no more, instead there was only Recall. The old Georgie was dead.
Listening to the woman's thoughts as they reached her head, tears started to form in Georgie's eyes. I can't. She sent back. I don't know how..... and she didn't. Usually Georgina didn't stick around long enough to stop the memories. She had never had to. Usually by the time she was 20 or 30 yards away her influence on the other person broke, and they were both free. She always felt like she was intruding. Watching the darkest secrets of the other person as they flashed in her head. Her heart reached out to the little girl bent over the body of her brother, and Recall started to cry. She wanted to stay, to talk to this woman, maybe she would be able to help her, but she didn't want to leave her in pain.
Closing her eyes, Recall tried to send the memories back to the woman. Once she was in the familar terriotory of her mind she found herself in the memory section. She smiled. She reconginsed the place. Carefully she took the memory she had in her hand, the one she had pulled out and filed it away. Safe. She hoped that was enough. I'm so sorry. She sent to the woman. Unable to speak. Not sure she wanted to really. Not yet anyway. I don't know how... i mean... i am still learning.

One of the main reasons why Scarlett kept herself to herself was so that she never had to share anything that had happened to her during her times on the earth. She'd learnt to keep her tongue in her mouth and her retorts to herself at every moment. Everyone just saw her as that teleporter girl that had arrived all alone and never really spoke to anyone but in short sharp sentences. It sort of fit her appearance. Scar had sharp edges to her face, such as her cheekbones. They were very defined against her tanned skin, she had lines and creases. Just like inside of her heart and soul. Scars inside and out.
When the other girl replied that she could not stop it Scarlett just nodded inside her own mind. She had endured worse torture in her time, but this was just something else entirely. It wasn't physical pain it was emotional, but she would continue to suffer in silence as was her nature. Not a cry escaped the girl's mouth and then it stopped. A grim expression took over her face for a minute before she asserted her own mind to place it back to her usual face of calm controlled emotion.
Realising that the girl truly had no control she did the best she could to help and collected some light from the streetlamps at the side of the park. Collecting it into her hands she bent it around her body into a shield that was impenetrable, it was the one cool part of her ability. She could protect those around her as long as she kept concentration on what she was doing in some part of her mind. "It's fine, I've had worse." She smiled. The cold expression leaving to be replaced with just a 'doesn't bother me' smile.

Gee had always been a lone rider. Ever since that very first day when she had ran as fast as she could she tended to prefer to be alone. Her parents had probably long since forgetten about their freak of a daugher and Gee had to say she didn't blame them. She was a freak. One of the biggest she knew.
She watched as the girl stood up and smiled. She had stopped as much as she could and the girl had managed to put up a shield to the rest of her power. Geogina felt herself calm down as the girl's memories slowly disappeared from her head. Georgie looked at the girl. Memories like that were not supposed to be buried the way hers was. They should be embraced. Used to help yourself move on. Even though Georgina had very little control over her power she knew about memories. How they worked and what they were for. They were there to remind you of days gone by to remind you of then and help you to live now. Not to be filed in the back of your mind like so many people did. That was why Gee embraced her memories. Even the ones which hurt to remeber, cause she knew without them she would be a very different person. Of course, this meant Georgina was often very stuck in the past. That was a sideeffect of being obessed with what used to be, but she couldn't help that, she was, after all, only 16 years old.
Gee stared at the girl. And Smiled. "really? She wrinkled her brow and bit her lip, worried. "cause people have not been happy in the past when that happens."

The fact that the other mutant clearly thought she would be pissed off made Scarlett smile and laugh a small musical laugh. "As I've said... I've had worse." It was true. There had been one incident in the life of Scarlett McKenzie where she had been taken and tortured for three months, both physically and mentally, by people trying to track down Magneto. They had thought she would tell them as she was meant to be one of the weakest links of the chain, but she had stood firm, and it was then that she had learnt how not to cry out when in pain.
"So what's your name?" She asked as she grinned over at the other girl and ran a hand through her blonde hair. Scarlett could be seen as pretty, in the right light. But there were so many flaws it was impossible to look past them in her opinion. Her cheekbones appeared to protrude from her skin, and she had these massive fish lips that made it look like a space ship had parked on her face.
